Topic Overview:
The webinar will increase knowledge on the South Carolina law §63-7-310 requiring certain professionals to report suspected child abuse and neglect because of their unique opportunities to observe and interact with children.

Objectives:

  1. Identify mandated reporters according to South Carolina law.
  2. Identify role and responsibilities of mandated reporters.
  3. Describe statutory requirements and protections.
  4. Recognize signs of possible abuse and neglect.
  5. Recognize implicit bias and its impact on the decision-making process.
  6. Describe when to make a report of child abuse and neglect.
