Topic Overview:
Learners should be able to identify red flags surround fraudulent electronic prescriptions and be aware of tools, like the prescription monitoring program, that can assist them in checking their prescribing credentials to ensure that they have not been a victim of fraudulent e-prescribing.

Objectives:

  1. Educate providers on how fraudulent electronic prescriptions are getting into the supply chain, identify who is potential target, and identify red flags surrounding these electronic prescriptions.

  2. Educate providers on tools available to them to assist them in identifying fraudulent e-prescriptions and become aware quickly if their prescribing credentials have been compromised.
